Haku Collective’s MeleCraft Bootcamp
We are excited to announce an island wide expanded community program from our MeleCraft Bootcamp, dedicated to empowering young artists with a music mentorship focus.
Haku Collective offers youth weekend workshops to high school students and young adults, ages 14-22, with established creative professionals such as Kimié Miner, Anuhea, Paula Fuga, Henry Kapono, IZIK, Ark Woods, Hāwane, Kaʻikena Scanlan and Kainani Kahaunaele.
This FREE mentorship program honors Hawaiian culture, language, business and essential life skills that support rising music makers to create music grounded in sustainable artistic health. Mahalo to our Maui partners, the Henry Kapono Foundation and Mauiʻs Office of Economic Development. Mahalo to our past supporters the State of Hawaii’s Creative Industries Division, DBEDT, Creative LAB Hawaii Partners (CLHP), and Hawaiʻi County.
Past MeleCraft Bootcamps
Since it’s debut in 2017, MeleCraft Bootcamp has had six successful classes! A FREE creative youth workshop mentored by some of Hawaiʻiʻs brightest stars that teaches young aspiring artists in Hawai’i how to create quality songs and find their authentic voice. Students are mentored by award winning artists like Henry Kapono, Kimié Miner, Paula Fuga, and world class producers like Leslie Ludiazo and Imua Garza.

Festival of Hope for Families
Haku Collective partnered with Child & Family Service Hawaiʻi in a drive-thru in Waimanalo. We served our community with much needed food and resources to support our keiki and kupuna affected by the pandemic.
Kapua Kalikimaka
In honor of Kapua DeSoto-Lorenzo’s life, we distributed 1,000 boxes to children in need filled with curated Christmas goodies that Kapua loved. Through this the mission was to bring joy to the children in our community like Kapua touched every person in her life!
Waiwai Collective Food Drive and live music for 2020 Graduates
Haku Collective partnered with Chef Hui and Waiwai Collective to make grad meals to celebrate the accomplishments of our 2020 graduates. Later that day, we kicked off our Mele in Hawaiʻi Summer Series with a grad special featuring an amazing lineup!
Mālama Mākua
Mālama Mākua celebrated of 15 Years of peace in Mākua (no military live-fire training) with a beach clean-up of Mākua Beach with an estimated 800-plus folks fanning out along the mile-long beach. The celebration had incredible speakers and music including a star-studded, three-plus hour concert featuring Nā Hoku Hanohano award winners Kimié Miner, Paula Fuga, Kaumakaiwa Kanakaʻole and Sistah Robi along with Mike Love among others. Haku Entertainment produced the concert in support of non-profits Nā Kama Kai, Sustainable Coastlines, Protectors of Paradise, and Mālama Mākua.
